A recent move left my new place absent of plant life so I thought a visit to a nursery would be proper and why not make a short shoot of it! I pitched the idea to my good friend Elisa and she recommend Berridge Nursery and was also able have KS Garner provide some clothing for the shoot. I reached out to Azucena to be our model and it was a perfect match as she loves plants and well, she's named after one!
An overcast day and scattered showers weren't going stop us and once we arrived at the nursery, a quick look around proved we'd have no shortage of unique pockets to shoot in!
Elisa paired her own heels and fedora for this first look with a dress from KS Garner. I quickly dubbed it "The Country Girl" and the nearby roses gave us the perfect place to start. I still had to get set up so I let Elisa do her thing!
Unfortunately, Azu wasn't quite feeling the look on herself but we had plenty of other options to choose from. While Elisa reviewed her photos, Azu and I got to work the area for a bit. A quick change into this skirt from KS Garner and Azu's own crop top and I could tell she was starting to get comfortable.
We decided it was time to see what else the nursery had to offer so we went into the greenhouse where Elisa was itching to create and she wasted no time doing so!
I think part of the beauty of photography is that everybody sees something different, even from within the same space. Here are some of my favorites from Elisa and Azu.
She even managed to get a great shot of me
I didn't plan on sharing these as they are not my favorites but Elisa got such a great behind the scenes shot I feel obligated to!
A late start proved costly as they were closing soon and we had to finish up. It was a calming atmosphere to shoot in and Elisa and Azu made for great company!
Check out some of the gear I use!
